Prize Live is a pay-per-action membership site that allows members to earn cash and game credits through such activities as clicking on advertiser links and completing offers. This program offers different levels of membership, and also has a referral system in place. Members can earn cash and credits from their own activities and the activities of their downlines.

Get paid to sign up at PrizeLive. Earn instant cash and prizes for completing offers. Make money online with Paid surveys. Real payment proof and testimonials.

One of the first things that you’ll notice about the PrizeLive website is that it is well-designed. Though this isn’t the basis from which you can judge a pay-per-click site, it at least tells you that they did their best to make it easy to navigate.

As a member of PrizeLive, you have the opportunity to make money in a few different ways. The easiest way is to simply click on links to go to websites, but this is also the way that gets you the least amount of points. What is really pushed is signing up for offers, which is not unusual with a pay-per-click site.

When you sign up for offers at PrizeLive, you’re told ahead of time how many points you will get for each sign-up. The more involved the sign-up process, the more you are rewarded. Through your activities, you can earn points and game credits. You can redeem points for cash, with 1 point equaling $.01. Game credits are for playing games on the site only. When you play games using your game credits, however, you can earn points when you win. When you are going for points, you play games against other members. When you sign up for offers, you usually earn both points and game credits.

There are 4 membership levels at PrizeLive, starting with the free level and going up to Elite level at $45 per year. The higher the level, the more points and game credits you can earn daily, and the higher the commissions you get from your referrals’ earnings.

See my Current stats at PrizeLive

If you want to make online bucks with PrizeLive then follow some simple instructons:-

1. PrizeLive pay the members to complete surveys, trial, and freebie offers. The offers are easy to complete and gives a description in each offer. PrizeLive pay anywhere to $0.25 to $0.75 and trial offers pay $4 to $35. That is a lot of money. PrizeLive also has something called Points and Game Credits. All the offers are either credited by Points or Game Credits. Points can be redeemed for cash and prizes like an Ipod, Xbox 360, or PS3!!

2. PrizeLive is very easy to use and approve survey offers pretty quick. The only thing is you have to be careful not to complete so many offers all at once or they won't approve. Give the offers time and they will credit. Use different e-mail address for each and every offer and to make sure every page fully loads. Most offers approve within 10-30 minutes. Most survey offers are about things you would have fun doing like fashion, department stores, gift cards, games, entertainment, celebs and more..

3. Prizelive also offers a way to make money with referrals as well. You make 10% of your 1st and 2nd level referrals including points and game credits. You can also compete against other members to make more money and game credits. The good thing about this is you can make a residual income from Prizelive and make hundreds of dollars every month for doing something so simple. Prizelive is so easy there is a 15 year old making hundreds of dollars every month.

The main problem with promoting converted Linkbucks links has to do with where and how they are promoted.  If Linkbucks links are directly promoted on Pay To Click websites, such as those sites that are promoted on your Free Referral Page, the links cause the web page frame on the Pay To Click website to break.  The negative consequences of the broken frame compromises the functionality of the Pay To Click website, and the Pay To Click user may not get credited for clicking the ad.  This is bad both for the Pay To Click website and the user.

For this reason you should never directly promote Linkbucks links on Pay To Click websites.  The Wirespeed Wealth Network does not directly promote or encourage the direct promotion of Linkbucks links on Pay To Click Websites or Traffic Exchanges.  In fact, top Traffic Exchanges, such as Easyhits4u.com, will not permit links from Linkbucks.com to be promoted on their exchanges.  The Wirespeed Wealth Network only encourages the indirect promotion of Linkbucks links.  We request that subscribers of the Free Referral Page convert all of their pay to click referral links and have them posted on their referral page.  Indirectly promoting Linkbucks links in this manner protects integrity of the Pay To Click website, as well as that of the Pay To Click user.

Please remember that Linkbucks.com is a Social Advertising Network.  The best places to directly promote Linkbucks links are on Social Network sites like Twitter and Facebook, or on your own website or blog.
So far, no Pay To Click website has lodged a complaint against The Wirespeed Wealth Network for improperly promoting Linkbucks links, and we hope there never will be!

You may have heard people discuss on possible means of earningfrom the internet and you may have simply laughed at them. Today we are going to show you the simplest and cheapest means of making GENUINE money from the internet. Writing this materials was not something that we had planned to do few weeks ago, infact this material will be released for the public to read later in the year and yet we are writing this report on the 27th of March 2008.

You may have heard of Google Adsense, if you haven't, Google adsense is a program by Google Inc. to pay publishers for displaying ads on their web pages. This program has enriched so many people (and is still enriching). Imagine making an extra $500-$1000 a week by just displaying ads for a company, a job that won’t take you more than an hour to set up.

Website owners have made money from this program. We know a lot of you will like to earn from this great program but have simply been limited because you don’t have a website. Don’t worry that’s the essence of this material. Today, NairaHub is going to show you how you can start making money from this program even without owning your own website, blog or even forum. Our Purpose and plan is that NOT only will you be able to start earning from Google adsense even without owning a website, you can be able to maximize you earnings from this program after reading this material. We have decided we are going to do our best to show you how to build a strong and lasting Internet business.

Even if you don’t have a dime you can start earning from this program from the information we are going to provide you, we won’t be surprised to get a call or text from you one day thanking me for putting up this material. Without wasting much time Lets get started.

HOW TO START EARNING FROM GOOGLE ADSENSE TODAY EVEN WITHOUT OWNING A WEBSITE, BLOG OR FORUM!!!

First if you don’t have a Google Adsense account, you should get one now. To register for a new Google Adsense account, go to Google Adsense and click on create a new account. Fill the registration requirements using your correct names, address, phone number and any other thing they may require. In the next step you will be required to create a new mail account or associate your Gmail account with this program, so if you already have a Gmail account, simply associate it with the account. You will be required to fill in the URL for your website, if you have a website, you can simply fill it in.Note: Your website must look good for Google to accept it for this program; else the application will be declined. For the purpose of this book, if you dont have a website use http://www.hubpages.com as your URL. Hubpages is a third party ads revenue sharing website. We will talk more about Hubpages later in this material.

After a successful registration, it will take up to 24-48 hours to set up your account, so don’t waste this time waiting for your account to be approved before you start making money with it.

HUBPAGES:

I want to introduce you to a service called Ads share revenue program. This type of program divides the ads revenue earned from their website with you the member. A website called Hubpages offers this type of service.

Now let's get you acquainted with this great program that has provided a divide between website owners and you who don't have idea of website development from making money from Google adsense.

Hubpages is a great website we found sometime ago that has proved to be the best over the years in ads sharing revenue program. So the first thing is to open a Hubpage account and register with them.

Their website is www.hubpages.com. Registration is free. Once you open this account, you can instantly start earning from this program.

HOW TO START EARNING INSTANTLY FROM HUBPAGES.

To instantly start earning from Hubpages, go to create a new hub, create a hub, hubs are like articles. In other words post an article, if you are not good writing articles, search for articles written by other people on the internet, modify it and post it to hubpages. Your articles will have to be well articulated, so as to rank high when you post it. Include images, videos if possible in your hubs so as to make it look good. You can read the help/FAQ on hubpages to discover how you can make a good hub. After posting your hubs, copy the URL and go to Google, search for submit URL and submit your urls to search engines and now, you have started making money from the internet. With this program you can earn even more than a website owner. If a website has 50 pages, the ads it could generate can not be compared to you when you have made 300-1000 hub postings. If you have 200 hubs publication, you are like a website owner with a 200 paged website. So the more hubs you have the more ads revenue you generate, now take it like a task to publish 5 hubs everyday, in a month you must have published 150 hubs (150 paged website). What a great way to start making money form the internet.

HOW TO MAXIMIZE YOUR EARNINGS FROM GOOGLE ADSENSE.

Hubpages is really a great website dedicated to seeing your success in internet business. To maximize your earnings from Google adsense, you will need to promote your hub to wider readers so as to be able to earn more. But, all where taken into consideration when this great website was designed. Now we will advice you to make good use of these tools to promote your hubs. You will need to register with websites like facebook, Digg, Delicious etc (the rest are on Hubpages). So after publications, use this tools to promote your hubs, for example if you are using facebook, you will see a facebook link under your hubs after publications, click on it, fill in your facebook username and password and submit, this hub will be published in your facebook profile, so if you have so many friends in your facebook account, they will be notified that you have published a new hub and the content of the hub will be displayed in their accounts, do the maths now!

You can also use your email address book, if you added people to your email address book; you can also mail each of your hubs to them.I hope you find this information useful

Ok, this is a Paid to Click(PTC) site called NeoBux. This is not a scam and is not like other PTC sites as it will pay you instantly to your Paypal/AlertPay account.

You won't be making $25/day at first, but you will eventually. You just need to have patience and spend about 10-30min a day on this site. I hope that by reading this strategy, you will become my referral and that would be much appreciated.

Neobux is all about making money through referrals. Your main source of income on this site will be through rented referrals. You don't buy referrals, but rent them from the site for a fee for 30 days. After you rent the referrals you can extend them for 30/60/90 days. The more referrals that you have, the more money that you can make. These rented referrals are real people like you and me who use the site for making money. These referrals cost money to rent and they last 30 days but in that time they will click ads everyday and in turn earn you money.

Here are the steps for you to do if you want to make money without putting a dime into this site.

  1. Register and create and account.
  2. Click all of your ads everyday and every once in a while there will be extra ads for you to click.
  3. Earn $2-$3 through clicking your ads everyday.
  4. Transfer the money from your main balance to your rental balance.
  5. Rent 3 referrals.
  6. Turn on AutoPay on your Rented Referrals page.
  7. Maintain your referrals and recycle the ones that have an average below 2 or haven't clicked in 2-3 days.
  8. Buy more referrals when you can(This is every 7 days as a standard member).
  9. Do NOT cash out any of the money that you gain in your main balance as this is used for buying more referrals and maintaining them.
  10. Once you reach 500 referrals, stop renting anymore referrals and just maintain the ones that you have. That means recycle the bad clickers and keep an average of 2 at least.
  11. Build up your money to about $100 and then upgrade to Golden.
  12. Once you get Golden membership, keep renting more referrals and maintaining them. Once you hit 1250 referrals, you can stop renting referrals and just maintain them and start to cash out your money.
As a Standard member, you have to keep an average of 2 in order to make a profit.
As a Golden member, you have to keep an average of 1 in order to make a profit.

Here are the steps that you can do if you if you want to invest your own money into the site. Just know that if you invest money into the site, you will get your money back in a few months and after that you will be making huge profits. You can choose not to invest money and make money, but investing will let you make money faster.
  1. Register and create an account.
  2. Click all of your ads everyday and every once in a while there will be extra ads for you to click.
  3. Rent 100 referrals, this will cost you $25.
  4. Meet the minimum standards so you can upgrade to Golden(Rent at least twice/50 clicks credited/Be a member at least 15 days).
  5. Before you go golden, you should have rented another 100 referrals for $25 and that puts you at 200 referrals and you should be golden soon.
  6. Buy golden for $90.
  7. Keep renting 100 pack referrals and clicking.
  8. Be sure that you maintain an average of 1 in order to make profit.
  9. Once you reach 100 clicks credited, pay $890 to upgrade to Ultimate.
  10. Buy 300 packs of rented referrals and keep doing this until you reach 4000 referrals.
  11. Be sure to maintain your referrals and keep AutoPay on. If you do not have AutoPay on, extend your referrals for 90 days which will give you a 20% discount.
  12. Slowly cash out your money every week and you should get your investment back in around 3 months.
  13. After that, everything is pure profit for you and an Ultimate with 4000 referrals can make over $500/month profit.

Some tips are:
  • Try to maintain an average of 1, any average over 1 means profit for you that day.
  • Patience is key.
  • Recycle referrals who have not clicked in 4 days.
  • Never recycle a Golden referral(You can tell this if they have a constant 9+ clicks/day and have a high average).
  • Don't forget to click everyday, otherwise you will not be credited for your referral clicks the next day.
  • If a referral goes below 20 days left, renew them for 30 more days so that they can be paid through AutoPay, thus giving you the 10% discount.
  • When you have a good amount of referrals, 1250 for Golden and 4000+ for Ultimate, you can slowly cash out the money.
  • There are also plenty of other people's strategies on the NeoBux forums. You can take a look at it since those people have been very successful using those strategies. You just have to find one that works out for you.

You can start by clicking the banner below and register and start to earn money.

You might have seen Facebook and Twitter widget in most of the blogs and websites. But now its time for Google Buzz which recently Google has released. Google Buzz is a new way to start conversations about the things you find interesting. It's built right into Gmail, so you don't have to peck out an entirely new set of friends from scratch — it just works. If you think about it, there's always been a big social network underlying Gmail. Buzz brings this network to the surface by automatically setting you up to follow the people you email and chat with the most. We focused on building an easy-to-use sharing experience that richly integrates photos, videos and links, and makes it easy to share publicly or privately (so you don't have to use different tools to share with different audiences). Plus, Buzz integrates tightly with your existing Gmail inbox, so you're sure to see the stuff that matters most as it happens in real time.

Now talking about Google Buzz although Google has not yet provided any official "Buzz It!" buttons, but it does allow you to synchronize your blog-feed with the Buzz, so that all your posts are directly sent to your Buzz account.

STEP #1
Log in to Blogger, go to Layout -> Edit HTML
and mark the tick box "Expand Widget Templates"

Now, find this code in the template:

STEP #2
And immediately BELOW/AFTER it, paste this code:

It will display a small Buzz It! button like this:

And if you want the other button

Then paste this code:

And it will display a smaller Buzz It! button like this one:

STEP #3
Save your template and see the results.

Pagination In Blogger/BlogSpot Blogs:

This tutorial will show you how to add Pagination to any BlogSpot / Blogger based blog with just two steps. The pagination numbers are completely customizable.

Instructions to follow:

STEP #1:

Log in to Blogger, go to Layout -> Edit HTML

Find this code:

And paste this code immediately ABOVE/BEFORE it:

var pageCount=10; is the number of posts to be displayed on each page. [For ex. in a simple Google search on each page you are shown 10 search results] - change the number "10" to any number you want.

var displayPageNum=3; is the number of buttons to be shown (on each side) along with the page number currently seleted.
For eg. If a reader is on page 6, then in the pagination, page numbers will be displayed like this:

Prev 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Next

i.e. 3 page numbers on each side of number 6.

STEP #2
Now we'll do the styling of these pagination numbers...
By default, this code will give a purple look to the numbers.

Find this code in the template:

And immediately ABOVE/BEFORE it, paste this code:

In the code above, everywhere #92416C refers to purple color.
Replace it with the color codes you want [view color-combinations and get HTML hex-color codes from this page].
Try different colors for borders, backgrounds, hover effects, and the numbers text too, according to the instructions I have highlighted in RED/BLUE colors.

Save the template.

STEP #3

Download and save the files used in this tutorial as a backup on your PC [Download Link]

If you are a webmaster or site creator, you have to make sure that the site content reaches your target audience. One way of doing that is by carefully assigning title tags as well as meta descriptions and keywords to your web pages. Now you might be thinking what meta tags are and why it is useful for site or blog? Here's your answer.....

A meta tag is a tag (that is, a coding statement) in the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) that describes some aspect of the contents of a Web page. The information that you provide in a meta tag tag is used by search engines to index a page so that someone searching for the kind of information the page contains will be able to find it. The meta tag is placed near the top of the HTML in a Web page as part of the heading.

There are several kinds of meta tags, but the most important for search engine indexing are the keywords meta tag and the description meta tag. The keywords meta tag lists the words or phrases that best describe the contents of the page. The description meta tag includes a brief one- or two-sentence description of the page. Both the keywords and the description are used by search engines in adding a page to their index. Some search engines also use the description to show the searcher a summary of the page's contents.

Although most search engines do not even consider the keyword meta tag, having the right meta tags in your pages can get them listed with a higher placement in the search engines and allow you to track how effective they are. Many search engines do read them. Keyword phrases that your visitors have typed in to the search engines to find your site should be listed.

Though Blogger is a Google product, blogs hosted on blogger do not have support for meta descriptions and keywords by default. If you have ever tried adding keywords or description meta tags to your Blogger pages, you might have seen that there is no easy way of implementing that. Here is a workaround to make changes to your blogger template in order to add description and keyword meta tags of your choice to your blogger top page as well as to your posts.

The first step for any site builder wanting to optimize their pages would be to analyze your statistics to see who is finding your site by keyword through the search engines. Any good stats will tell you this. Then you simply rewrite your page to include a keyword density of about 3 to every 100 words in your copy, while keeping your message clear and easy to understand.

Sign to your Blogger account and then look out for the Layout panel of your blog, click on Edit HTML.

Click on Download Full Template and save a backup copy of your template. This will come in handy to undo any changes in case the changes do not work as expected
Look for the following code by pressing Ctrl+F in the template:

Add the following code immediately after the code

Replace the http://myurl.blogspot.com/ line with the URL of your blog top page.

Replace the word MY DESCRIPTION with a description for your blog top page.

Replace the word MY KEYWORDS with a list of keywords separated by commas, relevant to your blog top page.

You would need to to follow the steps 4 to 7 - for adding corresponding URL’s, descriptions and keywordsfor for all the individual posts from your blog. For example, if your first article is about cruiser bikes, you’ll need to as follows.
Replace the http://myurl.blogspot.com/ line with http://myurl.blogspot.com/cruiserbikes.html.

Replace the word MY DESCRIPTION with description of cruiser bikes.

Replace the word MY KEYWORDS with keywords such as bikes, cruiser bikes, harley davidson etc. that best suits your site or blog.

Please ensure that all the individual posts have titles and descriptions matching the page content. This will help you from preventing your posts to go in Google Sandbox.

Even if you have to cut and paste them into the HTML of every page and then edit them, it's time well spent when the spiders and crawlers come calling or use our onsite meta tag generator to assist you.

Welcome to San Andreas...

Grove Street OG's Grove Street OG's

Grove Street Families are a diminishing gang in Los Santos, San Andreas. Everyday, their men get capped, the Ballas gain strength and Grove Street get weaker. Things have slowly gotten worse since Carl Johnson (Grove Street OG) left Los Santos for a new life in Liberty City five years ago. Sweet is Carl's older brother, and heads up the Grove Street gang. Sweet blames Carl for the death of their younger brother Brian who was involved in an unfortunate accident all those years ago. Lack of weaponary, poor health because of drugs, a rapidly decreasing rate of respect and betrayal--have all led to Grove Street's downfall. Grove Street OG's Big Smoke and Ryder, are trying to setup a new drug business with the Loco Syndicate. The Loco Syndicate is run by Mike Toreno, a shady CIA agent. Jizzy B and T-Bone Mendez are also involved. Sweet refuses to take part, saying that it would damage the hood.

C.R.A.S.H LSPD's anti-gang uni

There is only one type of crime in Los Santos. Gang crime. It is upto Los Santos' anti-gang unit (known as C.R.A.S.H) to end gangbanging and keep the city under control. The unit is led by Officer Frank Tenpenny and includes Officer Eddie Pulaski, and the unit's newest recruit Jimmy Hernandez. Tenpenny and Pulaski are corrupt. The two cops believe that sometimes in order to get what you want, you have to work with the people you don't like, doing things that aren't exactly right. They pressurise Hernandez into killing Officer Ralph Pendelburry, who threatened to expose their methods.

Salvatore Leone Don Salvatore Leone

In Liberty City - Carl Johnson is working for Joey Leone, and meanwhile Johnny Sindacco visits the Gentlemen's Club to offer Salvatore Leone stakes at a casino in Venturas. This involves Salvatore pledging $5,000,000 to the Sindacco's. The two gangs cannot decide who should run the casino and so Ken Rosenberg (once working with the Forelli's down in Vice) is put forward as a neutral party. Rosenberg is stuck in the middle of 3 mob families, and if one mob hits another, the opposition will eliminate Ken. Also in Venturas, Triads have purchased the Four Dragons Casino but the Sindacco's are looking to sabotage it's opening.

Carl is arrested Carl is arrested

Balla OG's decide that it's time to finish off Grove Street. The plan is to cap Grove Street's leader, Sweet. The hit is made, but instead, Beverly Johnson is killed, and Sweet survives. Sweet calls Carl to announce his mother's death, and Carl begins a journey back to his home town in Los Santos. Carl is welcomed by Officer Tenpenny, who has bullied Carl since before his leave for Liberty City. Carl is escorted to Front Yard Ballas territory, and later thrown from a moving police car. Carl finds himself dragged back into the gang life that he apparently once tried to leave behind. Welcome to San Andreas... San Andreas is set in the early 1990's--a very important time in Los Angeles' history. The story focuses on the famous LA riots and the related rampart scandal. This involved a corrupt police force known as C.R.A.S.H, terrorising Los Angeles. The rampart scandal was ignited by Officer Rafael Perez--perhaps the base of Officer Tenpenny's character. "The Introduction" DVD is exclusively available with purchase of the San Andreas Official Soundtrack Double CD.

Everyone is in a hurry to get their site online or meet a launch deadline. Before you publish and submit your site you should know the top ten seo mistakes most site builders make. Optimize your pages before you submit them.

1) Non-descriptive page titles - if you use a WYSIWYG editor, it may be titling your pages the same as the page name. Pages with the same title on the domain will not get listed. The search engines see them as duplicate pages and won't index past the same title twice. Use a short 7-9 word descriptive title for each page and make sure each page title on your site is unique. What do you think is a better title for your page:
a. Home Page -or- b. Blue Solar Lighted Widgets That Play Music

2) No meta tags in page - If you don't put a description meta tag on your page and it gets listed, it will list the first few words of copy on your page. Keyword meta tags are not read anymore by most major search engines and just putting a keyword in a keyword meta tag will not you listed for that keyword.
3) Thinking if you build it, they will come - you watch too many movies... here's your reality check. Submitting your site to the search engines is not enough. Without good optimization efforts, you can't compete for keyword rankings on a global basis.
4) It has to be pretty - that depends largely on the purpose of the site. For the most part, design is subjective. What looks good to one person is unattractive to the next. The search engines don't care what your graphics or animation or color scheme is. It just has to be well organized, well-written, user friendly, consistent, logical to navigate, provide a valuable service and be 'sticky'. Killer sites aren't just aesthetically pleasing, they are highly useful, well planned and easy for the search engines to crawl. The design grabs their attention, the content keeps it.
5) Too much animation - Animation has it's place and can be quite clever and appropriate on a lot of sites if used to the best advantage, but too much of it is unnecessary and will aggravate visitors. Never use blinking text or pop up ads... how do you like them?
6) Cannot resize text - When you build a site you have to take into consideration that the web is not print. It's a movable media that displays differently on each monitor. To be useful, you have to offer options to your visitors. If you use .css, you need to specify the text in .em instead of .pt for the vision impaired and Mac users.
7) Different design for each page or section - How will your visitors know they are still on your site if it's pages are not consistent? You can guarantee consistency by placing navigation in the same place on each page and your logo in the same spot at the top of the page. If you have expandable menu items, put them on every page of your site in the same place. Your visitors will expect it to be there and it's not user centered if they have to learn a new navigation system for each section. Use consistent navigation on every page. A different design and way to navigate it for each section is confusing.
8) Background Music - A different twangy .midi song on each page that loads is the most aggravating thing on the internet. Even an on/off button is aggravating if it has to be used for every page load. Unless it's a presentation that the visitor selects, sound has no place on a professional site and what good does it do to optimize for maximum traffic if you alienate your visitor...
9) Poor maintenance - Orphaned pages are pages in your site that have one way links or no links to other pages. Outdated and poorly written pages with broken links could affect getting your site indexed. A lot of broken internal and external links could keep your site from getting indexed.
10) Main focus - You can have several topics on your site, and indeed you should have for interest and support. But there should only be one main focus that tells what your site is all about. One main subject that lets your visitor know exactly what most of your content is. What is the purpose of your site? Spell it out with your headlines, tag line and graphics. If it's not apparent by looking at the main page, your visitors have no reason to dig deeper.
There are a lot more mistakes site builders can make, some biggies and some minor, but correcting the ones listed here will make the biggest impact on your site as a whole and the ability to get it listed properly, and they're so easy to correct.

Its an efficient way to increase the link popularity of your website and to receive some extra traffic. It would be cumbersome, however, if you needed to manually bookmark your posts on every single site out there.
OnlyWire is a web tool that will automatically save your posts on several bookmarking sites, including:
  • Backflip
  • Blue Dot
  • Blinklist
  • Delicious
  • Furl
  • Magnolia
  • Rawsugar
  • Shadows
  • Simpy
  • Spurl
  • Wink

You will need to create an account on those bookmarking sites before using the service. Once you do that just configure your OnlyWire account with the different users and passwords for each bookmarking site and that is it.
Here are some steps to start with:
  1. Register a free OnlyWire account.
  2. After logging into your OnlyWire account, you will be asked to submit the username and password of the social bookmark sites. 15 of them, but you don’t need to fill in all. ;)
  3. Save your logins.
  4. Drag a OnlyWire bookmark link to your web browser’s toolbar. You will use the link to bookmark your site using OnlyWire.
This screen will appear after clicking onlywire bookmark page: Now everything you have done and enjoy................... :)

Nokia 5800 Express music...reviews

Saturday, January 23, 2010 1 comments

Nokia's 5800 XpressMusic was long anticipated when it finally went on sale in the UK on 23 January. It had been shipping in some other countries since last year and by the time we Brits were able to get our hands on it the phone had already sold a million units elsewhere.
You can pick the phone up SIM-free from the Nokia online store or pop along to your operator and get it for prices from free on contract. Vodafone has even bagged an exclusive blue colour highlighted version.

Such prolific availability at UK launch indicates that the 5800 XpressMusic is something of an attention seeker. It is, after all, the first appearance of S60 5th edition, which, vitally, supports touch control. That might be enough to make you want to rush out and buy this handset, but hold your horses. I see this phone as a competent first attempt rather than an all out iPhone killer.
There is no pinch control. There are some sweeping controls - for example, moving through photos and song lists, but the implementation lacks the charm and wow factor of the iPhone's system. It feels more like S60-plus-touch rather than a bottom up designed touch interface. Not surprising, really, as that's what it is.

My heart sunk when I realised there was a stylus sitting in a housing on the casing. I am inclined to think that any mobile that has a touch interface yet comes with a stylus is missing an important trick. Fortunately, I didn't have to resort to using this one.
Text entry is one of those all-important areas where the touch-based user interface has to be superb. If it works well then text messaging and emailing are easy. If not, they are frustrating. In this case, individual keys are small but not too small and there is a gentle vibrating response when you hit a key.

One potential problem is that keys don't actually register till you lift your finger away from them, so there's no chance of really fast typing that can result in physical contact with two keys at once. This may slow down the speedmongers.
Another irritation is that sometimes the screen wants a double tap and I had to get used to when this was the case. One example is choosing, rather than simply highlighting, an option in the music player. Press, wait, nothing happens, press again. Irritating. Still, these niggles aside, I'm inclined to give the touch implementation eight out of 10 for usability.
The Nokia 5800's screen locks out after a few seconds of non-use preventing accidental presses. To get things running again you have to slide the side mounted lock button. You'll either appreciate this or loathe it and I certainly found it more amenable than the more usual double front button press.
There is often a short wait while the phone works out what to do when you press a key. This seemed particularly long when running apps from the main menu and over time I found it somewhat frustrating.

Nokia hasn't pushed the boat out on physical design. This is a fat phone at 15.5mm, but otherwise typical at 111mm tall, 51.7mm wide and 109g in weight. Its plastic casing feels a little low grade. The screen measures 3.2in diagonally and has a 640 x 360 pixel resolution. The accelerometer is one of the most responsive I've used and it works very well indeed.
The button arrangement is pretty standard. Beneath the screen are Call, End and Menu keys. Both the SIM and microSD card slots sit on the left edge of the casing under protective flaps. The phone comes with an 8GB card which boosts its somewhat paltry 81MB of internal memory.
The main screen looks a little different to the usual Nokia S60 style, offering large fingertouch buttons for shortcuts to applications, but the design is recognisably S60 and shouldn't put off upgrading users.

Above the screen an XpressMusic touch-button brings up a ‘media bar' offering instant access to music, the picture gallery, online sharing, the video centre and web browser. It felt a bit pointless, to be frank, as all it does is double-up on functions available from the main menu. The phone supports the Nokia Music Store with its unlimited music downloads lure.
There are stereo speakers on board that turn out a reasonable volume and quality of music and the (sensibly) top-mounted 3.5mm headset jack is welcome. The phone supports TV-out via the 3.5mm connector, too, and you get the necessary cable.
This is, as you'd expect, a 3G handset with download speeds of up to 3.6Mbps. Shame it doesn't run to 7.2Mbps, though. There is Wi-Fi here too, and it is very easy to hop on and off networks. A-GPS is also present and Nokia Maps is built in.

There is a front camera for two-way video-calling. The main camera is a little disappointing. Even though it captures stills at 3.2-megapixels through Carl Zeiss optics and has a dual LED flash and autofocus, these don't make up for the absence of a macro mode, or indeed the below par image production - especially indoors.
Indoors, the coloured dish, photographed under normal household lights with no flash, looks grainy. Outside, the chair, shot on a gloomy, rainy day, is not uniformly white. The snowdrops are OK but they show how badly the camera copes with a close in subject. Nokia should have tried harder with the camera, methinks.

There is a lot of software on board. There is a version of the BBC iPlayer, so TV addicts can catch up on EastEnders or whatever your favourite fodder happens to be, a calendar, calculator, unit converter, IM app, voice recorder, RealPlayer, FM radio, notes taker, and a couple of games including Bounce which requires use of the touchscreen and accelerometer. More touchscreen supporting games may be on the cards, but existing games will need a rewrite to handle the new input method so it is probably best not to hold your breath.
Battery life is quoted at 8.8 hours talk and 406 hours on standby. I managed a couple of days between charges with an average use pattern but if you are heavy on the GPS, Wi-Fi or 3G you'll need to recharge more frequently.
Verdict
I don't think the market leaders Apple, Samsung and LG, need to worry just yet. S60-plus-touch has a little way to go before it can rival the bottom up interface designs which handsets from those companies offer. But I can see how the touchscreen could really help Nokia up its game at the higher end of the phone market, and I look forward to seeing the idea in full flight.
